The Rules

1

Gears & Garlic is not responsible for any mishaps

In the event that your person(s), belongings, or car gets damaged while attending an event, Gears & Garlic is not liable. Attendance is at your own risk as we cannot control surrounding environmental factors nor can we control anyone but ourselves! If a mishap does occur, please refrain from posting and sharing it with the outside world. Let's respect each other's privacy.

2

Any new potential members must be vetted

In the spirit of keeping the group as personable, enjoyable, respectful, and as fun as possible, please inform the admin of any new prospective member that you've met in person and trust wholeheartedly. We would rather have a great group of people that can build an everlasting friendship and provide positive contributions to the group and local community than a douche that so happens to drive a high-performance vehicle.

3

Be kind and courteous

We're all in this together to create a Welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect, no matter how much experience certain members of the group may have (e.g. HPDE or racing or no experience). We are all learning. Let's make sure to help one another learn about the hobby in a respectful and fun manner. There's a saying that goes, 'We have to keep each other alive if we want to keep the scene alive'.

4

No revving or burnouts at events

This will not be tolerated.

5

No politics

Self-explanatory.

6

No hate speech or bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
